How do we know what we are talking about?

CCSA is the peak body for Community Centres across South Australia. Our mission is to support and build the capacity of centres so that they can develop inclusive communities. We know that meaningful community connectedness helps to solve wicked problems like loneliness, mental illness, racism, unemployment, illiteracy and family breakdown.

We enhance community connectedness through advocacy, research, capacity building and training. We support and walk alongside our 170+ member Community Centres and Neighbourhood Houses and other values-based community organisations.

We have developed this course to promote core skills and knowledge in community development workers and volunteers. These were identified through research commissioned by CCSA and from Community Centre managers’ feedback.
